Racial and Ethnic Inequality
Anyone who has been following the news over the past few years continue to see time and time again reports on senseless murders or other violent acts directed towards ethnic-racial minority groups. The White House made such an important statement in regard to this escalating social problem, with President Obama emphasizing, “at some point, we as a country will have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries. It doesn’t happen in other places with this kind of frequency” (The White House, Office of the Press Secretary, June 18, 2015).
